Hollingbury Golf Club 8th March 2026

After a Full English Breakfast and a delayed start due to foggy conditions, the track seemed tough going for some. With 16 starters and 14 finishing, here are the days results.

First place with 37 points Paul Hudson

Second place with 36 points Jason Davey

Third place with 33 points Kenny Chance

We had 3 nearest the pin holes, the winners were Martin Lambert who picked up 2 of these and Sanjay Chandarana who picked one up too.

Rookwood 22nd March 2026

Just 9 players at this event. Breakfast then onto the first tee. Weather was bright with sunny spells and a reasonable temperature for this time of year. Most importantly it was dry. Yet again 1 player withdrew (again) sorry. So here are the days results.

First place with 32 points Chris Sharman

Second place with 30 points Martin Lambert

Third place with 28 points Kenny Chance.

We had 3 nearest the pins with Martin Lambert, Sanjay Chandarana and Chris Sharman winning each one respectively.

Lindfield 5th April 2026

Weather was much better that in recent events. There was a small threat of a shower but that passed over. After breakfast, 19 golfers took to the course with a Three Ball starting off followed by 4 Four Balls. Here are the days results.

Fist place. Michael Jemma 34 points

Second place. Kieran Doyle 33 Points

Third place Paul Hudson 33 Points.

We had three nearest the pins which were won by Sanjay, Michael and Wes. See you all at the next one.

Horsham 10th May 2026

Weather was indifferent and showers a plenty. A rather cold day. 18 players consisted of Two 3 Ball starting off followed by 3 Four Balls. Here are the days results.

Fist place. Sanjay Chandarana 35 points

Second place. Steve "Chairman" Gilbert 34 Points

Third place Stefano 34 Points on countback

We had three nearest the pins which were won by Sanjay, Chris and Pete. Look forward to seeing everyone at Ifield.

Ifield 24th May 2026

El Scorcheo,

A very hot day saw 16 competitors start play, unsurprisingly due to the heat, 3 withdrew after 9 and 13 holes respectfully. Top 3 on the day were

1st Chris Sharman 33 points. (On count back)

2nd Russel Gunn 33 points.

Paul Hudson 32 points.

The three nearest the pins were won by Dave Patrick, Chris Sharman and Jason Davey.

Rookwood 14th June 2026

After a unscheduled change of venue, we played one of our favourite courses at Rookwood. Perfect golfing weather for the day. With 16 registered players an 14 in attendance we all had a great day.

Top 3 on the day were all very close.

1st Bob Burns 37 Points

2nd Jason Davey 36 Points

3rd Craig Forshaw 35 Points.

We had 4 nearest the pin holes which were won by the following players.

Seaford Head 5th July 2026

A fabulous day for golf. Weather conditions and course conditions were very good. Fantastic views across the South Downs especially from the 18th tee. We welcomed 5 guests on the day with 19 players in total. Results as follows.

1st Russell RC 43 points (G)

2nd Kenny Chance (Members winner with 39 points on countback)

3rd Steve "El Chairman" Gilbert 39 points

North Downs 26th July 2026

North Downs is challenging at the best of times. Even more so when the ground is hard and brown after the weather we have had in the previous month (yes month)

The 4th hole is called Rolling Downs for a reason. After a spray of early rain, the weather turned out to be perfect.
